Exit 145 - SH38/Fillmore Street aerial picture
This exit is where I-25 bottlenecks to two lanes when heading northbound. This, along with an impossibly short acceleration lane northbound, leads to some hefty backups during the PM rush hour. North of this interchange is a bridge over Ellston street which will either be rehabbed or replaced. New pictures have a grey background under the caption.

Wider shoulder than usual here. The road will be restriped to a 3+1 configuration during COSMIX.

Any wonder why Colorado Springs was rated extremely high in a "worst traffic for a city of its size" survey?

Eastbound Fillmore's intersection with SB 25. Any questions to where the exit for NB 25 is?

Methinks the median sign is overkill right now, don't you?<

Barrels lead you to the crash barrier at the edge of the temporary Jersey barriers.

Median barricades are being installed in this pic. The lanes have already been moved to the right.
- 7/5/05
Slowdowns are normal, but the fact that there's workmen in the median ahead helped slow traffic down that much more.

In the field of orange stakes lives a breed that's migrating to the city as we speak: construction workers.
- 7/5/05
In preparation for the lane shift to the right shoulder, the northbound merge lane gets widened.
- 7/5/05
More shoulder widening. These spaces will be the Emergency Pullout sections.
