Exit 148B - Corporate Centre Drive aerial picture
This exit is only accessable from the southbound lanes of the interstate. It's an interesting exit. For lack of a better word, it's its own C/D exit. You exit from the exit ramp to get to Corporate Centre Drive. Theoretically, this makes a good bypass of slower drivers on the mainline. (Not that I've ever done that.....) This page also has all of the pictures for the new crossings over Monument Creek, both the mainline bridges and the collector/distributor roadways.
Original pictures - taken April 2005 - open
- Original shot
On Corp Centre Drive close to the Woodmen exit. The metal railing used here is normally only used on bridges.
- Original shot
The Corporate Centre exit veers off to the right here. There is a lane there, it just hasn't been striped in a while.
- Original shot
Entering SB 25. The cars are on mainline 25, the grey line below the cars is the C/D road.
- Original shot
Mainline 25 South approaching the Corp Centre merge.
- 7/5/05
To get onto I-25 from Corporate Centre, you must hang a left (if going southbound) here.
- 7/5/05
Here's the current end of Corporate Centre. Colorado Springs will extend this road to the new Nevada/25 interchange.
- 7/5/05
Back on the merge lane, we're approaching mainline 25.

Going over Monument Creek. The next picture is this same bridge from the path below it.

Current Update
- 9/13/06
Northbound traffic is back on the new C/D road over Monument Creek, and crews are working hard at the new pillars.
- 9/13/06
Looking at the work zone. The pillars will be where the retaining walls will be installed.
- 9/13/06
Looking northwest at the new retaining walls. We're right over where Nevada will intersect the interstate, and the road we see curving off in the distance is the Corporate Centre extension.
- 9/13/06
Crews are working hard in the median today.
- 9/13/06
On the C/D bridge over Monument Creek headed southbound.
- 9/13/06
That backhoe is right where the old southbound bridge used to be. I think we'll need to check this out.
- 9/13/06
Now on the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail approaching the bridge construction/destruction area.
- 9/13/06
Yup. The former southbound bridge is slowly being dismantled.
- 9/13/06
Look closely in the shadow of the near bridge: there's a worker there catching some z's on his break.
- 9/13/06
The old bridge is still intact in places and piles of rubble in other places.
- 9/13/06
Cleaning up the mess the old bridge's demolition left behind. Crews didn't waste any time here: this bridge was here 4 days ago.
- 9/13/06
Piles of rubble and pillars, anyone?
- 9/13/06
A platform for installation of the new girders?
- 9/13/06
Chiseling out the old concrete landing point of the old southbound bridge.
- 9/13/06
I have a new favorite shot of the COSMIX series. I should submit this one to SEMA Constructors.
- 9/13/06
Another shot of old dwarfed by new.
- 9/13/06
I was actually a little worried about the operator swinging the crane around and hitting me just after I took this pic.
- 9/13/06
A shot of the junk that the crane operator is dealing with.
- 9/13/06
Old versus new, take 2. This shot shows how old lost here.
- 8/30/06
Approaching the construction zone from the trail. We can see that the traffic has been shifted.
- 8/30/06
The northbound traffic has been placed onto the former southbound bridge.
- 8/30/06
Walls are going up at the far end of the creek area now. That wall will eventually be where the bridge over Nevada Avenue starts.
- 8/30/06
It's odd to me seeing traffic moving this direction. I'm just not used to it.
- 8/30/06
Looking along the new C/D bridge in the opposite direction of traffic flow.
- 8/30/06
A closer shot of the construction of a retaining wall and a shot of some erosion damage.
- 8/30/06
A shot of the progress of the COrporate Centre Drive extension. Note that the construction vehicles are using the hotel's parking lot as their own driveway.
- 8/30/06
Now I'm convinced we have a new ghost ramp in the city. At the end of the asphalt is a nice, gentle slope down to the new lanes.
- 8/30/06
Approaching where the Corporate Centre offramp used to be.
- 8/30/06
Coming up on the new intersection for Nevada/Corp Centre drive. Remember, we're using the new C/D road offramp right now.
- 8/30/06
About to head over Monument Creek.
- 8/28/06
Continuing the northbound detour onto the old southbound lanes from the Rockrimmon page.
- 8/28/06
Heading over Monument Creek while traveling north in the old southbound lanes. You get a sense of how low this bridge is when you see the new one here.
- 8/28/06
Approaching the next major construction area in the Nevada/Rockrimmon zone.
- 8/23/06
After a few break-ins and other types of vandalism, crews thought it best to surround the cement plant with a fence. No word on if that's helping or not.
- 8/17/06
The former ramp to I-25 is still there, and it shows no sign of going away. Are we seeing a ghost ramp in the making?
- 8/17/06
The Corporate Centre extension is progressing nicely, I see.
- 8/17/06
Most of the curbs have been poured now.
- 8/17/06

- 8/17/06
Coming up on the bridges from the north while on the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail.
- 8/17/06
Painting has started.
- 8/17/06
Looking the same direction as northbound traffic heads.
- 8/17/06
Looking past what's left of the old southbound lanes to the pillars which will support the mainline lanes.
- 8/17/06
A big and little pipe are chillin' under the northbound C/D bridge.
- 8/17/06
Crews have installed drain pipes. Shouldn't that be at a steeper slope to help prevent the draining water from icing up?
- 8/17/06
Looking at the new southbound C/D road bridge and the continued construction on the mainline bridges.
- 8/17/06
Another bridge construction shot.
