r- what what?
RSS, which stands for “Really Simple Syndication” (sometimes called Rich Site Summary), has been adopted by multiple sites to send content to subscribers. Once you subscribe to any RSS Feed, you do not have to go to the website to see if updates are available. You just look at your subscription.
In order to get this feed, you must subscribe to it. If you use Firefox or Opera, you can subscribe directly in the browser. In Firefox, look for the little icon down in the bottom right corner of the browser window for versions less than 1.5. For version 1.5, the Live Bookmark symbol is located in the address bar at the top of the window. Click on it and follow the instructions. In Opera (at least version 8), look for the "RSS" icon up in the location bar at the top of the window. Again, click on it and follow the instructions.
Using Internet Explorer? Until the release of the next version if it, you're SOL. You'll have to get an external feed reader. Feed Demon is a good Windows reader. There's others out there as well for the Mac, PC, and *NIX boxes. Just do a search.
Here's a direct link to my main feed and a direct link to my Pic of the Day feed if you need it for your reader.
Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with any of the orginizations listed within this site. I'm just a bored roadgeek with way too much time on his hands. All of the picts in this page are mine and mine alone unless otherwise noted. Remember, kids: stealing is bad, mmmm-k? I get quite pissy if things are taken without telling me. I don't like to be pissy. You won't like it either. If you want to link to this page, that's fine. Please shoot me an email beforehand so I can link to your page as well. K? Thanks. --Ryan
